Stegosaurus back plate (scute) from the celebrated Bone Cabin quarry near Laramie, Wyoming. A superb specimen with well-defined vascular grooves, measuring 16.5 inches long.

This iconic armoured dinosaur from the Jurassic likely used the scutes running along its neck, back and tail for display purposes, and possibly to shed excess body heat.
