The majority of the midsole is made of Mizuno's U4ic foam, which absorbs shock. However, there is also a heel wedge of Mizuno Enerzy foam. Mizuno Enerzy provides great cushioning and energy return.Â
You should expect the Wave Equate 8 to feel cushioned and protective underfoot, but not overly soft. If you like responsive or firmer cushioning then the Wave Equate 8 should provide this.
The Mizuno Wave Plate provides added support at the medial side of these stability running shoes. If your feet are prone to rolling inwards, you should feel supported by the Wave Plate.
The upper has overlays at the back and middle part of the foot. This provides stability where it is needed, but allows there to be lots of breathable and flexible mesh at the forefoot.
The Mizuno Men's Wave Equate 8 Running Shoes are best for slow to steady paced runs. They are stability running shoes. Therefore, they are designed to be used by runners who pronate to an excessive extent.
